WebAPI and Securing it within Azure Active Directory

Howdy,

So I have a PowerApp that is using webAPI that is published and located in Azure. I have successfully added it as a connector within PowerApp too.

I however, have no idea how to SECURE it with Azure Active Directory. I have this link:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/customapi-web-api-tutorial/

Which is helpful to a degree and I can follow along side of it, until I can't see the registered apps in Azure (where we can select AD apps)

Perhaps this isn't the best forum for this, but I'm asking any PowerApps users what they did and how they secured their custom API which uses PowerApps?

    Hi @clewis,

For Custom API, you could specify the authentication under the swagger file (Open API definition file).

There is a guest blog talking about this:

Guest Blog: Build Custom API on Microsoft Flow and PowerApps with Authentication

Further, for integration with AAD authentication, check the article below:

Use Azure Active Directory with a custom connector in PowerApps

    Thanks @v-micsh-msft

In case anyone else had this issue, I couldn't see the Registered Apps after following the steps while trying to do the "express" linking to my Active Directory apps. What I had to do is go into the classical view (manage.windowsazure.com) and create the API in that interface to get them to show.

One last question, why do we need to do two Apps for Active Directory for a WebAPI / Custom WebAPI?
