Hi Team,

We need a assistance to create a flow in power automate to delete the existing file and add new files in copilot studio knowledge source. This flow should trigger when a file is updated in sharepoint folder.
Please give me suggestions on this.

Thanks in adavnce.....

    Hi,

I believe you can do that by doing the below actions on the Chabot Subcomponent (botcomponent) table in Dataverse, that holds the uploaded file (along with other copilot types, like topics, entities, so be sure to filter correctly and only delete the ones you don't want)
    1. Retrieve the record you wish to record (either with List Rows or Get Row by ID)
    2. Use the Dataverse unbound action called DeleteFile to delete the file(s).
    3. Delete the Chabot Subcomponent record

I can see that this may work well in an employee-facing enterprise setting, where updates to the knowledge base (ie. files in sharepoint gets updated very infrequently).

But what if this is used in a SaaS customer end-user facing scenario with constant CICD deployments (ie. knowledge base gets generated from sources everytime -- api reference docs, swagger, etc).

What would the impact be for updating the underlying data inside the chatbot directly in dataverse?  What happens to existing conversations/actions?  Will there be an outage for a few seconds?
