Model driven app usage possible with E3 licence?

Hello experts,

As far as I know, we need powerapps premium licence for users who uses a costume model driven app on dataverse in a dataverse environment.

However a consultant company states it is possible the E3 Office licenced users can consume the application without further licences needed, only dataverse capacity should be purchased to handle the capacity requirements of the model driven app.

I'm unable to verify this statement, in my knowledge E3 licenced users can only consume canvas applications without premium connectors.

Can someone with more knowledge on powerapps licencing can verify this please?

Hi,

a PowerApps Premium Per User or Per App license is required for users of Model Driven Apps.

I think the confusion generally comes from Dataverse showing as an entitlement against standard licenses, but if you take a look at this page it explains a little more why we see that. For Custom Model Driven apps, they’re not covered by this entitlement, hence why the premium license is covered
