Submitting a New Form; Blank Field Value sare Getting Replaced with the Previous Record

Dear all,

I have an app that includes a form. When I create a new form and submit it, fields that are left blank are replaced with values from the last submitted record.

Why would it replace values from another record? Thoughts on what could be causing it?

Could you please support?
Thank you !

    Try this and let me know if it works:

    Use ResetForm(Formname) on the submit button and on the OnVisible property of the screen.

    Hi,

    Is the Form in the Gallery or do you select an item from the Gallery and then expect that data to show up in the Form?

    Can you share what the Item property is for the Form?

    My thinking is that after you submit the form, its refreshing the dataset, which makes the gallery reset, which means it won't have the one selected it had before, so if what is IT selecting has data thats why.

    Do we have a solution for this? I'm running into the same issue.

    In my case, the form simply doesn't submit the empty values and keeps the previous ones.

    It sounds like your form is pulling values from a previous record. A common reason is that the Item property of your form is still referencing a variable or record that isn’t being cleared.

    Could you please check what you currently have set in the Item property of your form?

    For a new record form item property should need blank().

    If your Item property of the form will looks like this:

    Item: varSelectedRecord

    then the form will continue to use whatever is stored in varSelectedRecord, even when the fields appear blank.

    In that case, try resetting the variable before opening the form:

    Set(varSelectedRecord, Blank());
    ResetForm(YourFormName);
    NewForm(YourFormName);

    Also, On the form’s OnSuccess property, add:

    ResetForm(Self);
    Set(varSelectedRecord,Blank());
