PowerApps portal Auto increment field is not updating

Hello All,

I am using PowerApps portal as front-end and trying to add into CRM using Basic forms. But this entity has incrementing column which is read-only. Record is getting generated in CRM but it is not generating that incrementing ID.

Please let me know if anyone has worked with such scenario.

Thanks in Advance.

@vidhithaker1909 this make sense, so from portal you click new and create new record , record is created but the ID field is blank but if you open same exact record from CRM, the ID field has value, right?

can you share screenshots please? my only fear is portal form doesnt have the same ID field

    Hi @Anonymous,

    Thanks for replying.

Yes, you are right. It is custom table "Project" and auto incrementing field is "Project No".

But when I am trying to create record in CRM Project, Project No is getting generated on click of Save.

Same thing, I am trying to do with PowerApps portal form Save, record has been created but Project No is blank.

    Also, this field is read-only.

    Hi @vidhithaker1909 ,

My guess you are using Custom Entity and based on your description this is not portal issue (per say), so if the auto ID isnt generating then maybe you need to check what are you using for it ?

for example you can either use XrmTookbox auto ID generator or MSFT out of the box ID generator , both works fine but the MSFT one is recommended
