Our Org. is beginning to publish enterprise datasets in the form of Power BI Datamarts. I am successful in connecting to these using Power BI Desktop Power Query and Power BI Service Dataflows using the SQL Server connection. However, when I attempt the same in Power Apps (using Power Platform Dataflows) it says my credentials are not correct. Is there a better method to bring PBI datamart data into a Power App? I am assuming you currently cannot connect to PBI Datamart Data in Power Apps but if someone has been successful with this I'd like to know.
That's not completely true - I am actively using the PowerBI connector to extract data (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/powerbi/#run-a-query-against-a-dataset) and use it in my power automate flows. However, it would be a huge improvement to get a connector to the SQL Datamart instead of having to create DAX queries against datasets that for most parts have to be created for each of my specific use cases. If I could query the Datamart SQL instead in my flows I could tailor much more the queries when there are several tables involved then I am able to with DAX.
So far I have not found a way to do that. The standard SQL connectors does not seem to authenticate as they do not have the Universal MFA authentication support.
