Hello All,

I have a power app and users are using App in their phone , i am making changes and users are getting green "A new version of your App is available " pop up when i publish the changes.

Now i want to cross check if users are using the same version update which i made last. i found version details on  web here.

Here version 169, 168....etc is my changes update version which i am looking in users phone power App, i believe the other Power App release the Power app installation version.

where i can find that version in user phone to make sure he is using the App with latest  changes or is there is any other way to check ?

i found these details on phone canvas app info , here release is available but not Version.

    Hi @SachinG31

    Yes, the version you are seeing is the PowerApp installation version. It always uses only one version. Mobile or web app uses the published version when the screen refreshes.

    Users should be able to use the published version when the screen refreshes or clear the cache.

    Another option is to have our release number on the footer or some other info screen.

    Hello @StalinPonnusamy , Thanks for replying on this issue , i am trying to setup the app version manually by following this blog video Video , i followed all the steps but in my case result is not correct.

    This is what i am writing on button on select

    Just now i tried for one more app and it gives correct result , for version less than100, it works but for after it does not , i guess , BUT WHY???

    Set(appnumber,GUID("****************"))
    ClearCollect(myAppVersion,PowerAppsforMakers.GetAppVersions(appnumber))
    ClearCollect(myAppVersionUngropped,Ungroup(myAppVersion,"value"))
    Set(PublishedVersion,LookUp(myAppVersionUngropped,properties.lifeCycleId="Published").properties.appVersion);
    ClearCollect(MyPublishedVersion,Filter(myAppVersionUngropped,properties.appVersion<=PublishedVersion));

    and on display html label

    "<b>Current Version: </b>"&CountRows(MyPublishedVersion)

    I have total around 170 version but , for me result is this.

     Where is the mistake, i have tried same formula for another App having 30 version for that it gives  correct result.

    Hi @SachinG31,

    I tried it and it only brings 100. In the event, I tried to specify the top parameter but gets only 100 records.

    ClearCollect(myAppVersion,PowerAppsforMakers.GetAppVersions(appnumber,{'$top':999}));

    Workaround to have a custom version number like Release number: 20.3 (Major.Minor) on the Login screen footer. I have seen many companies follow this pattern.

    Hello @StalinPonnusamy , Thanks for testing this and advising the alternate solution , can you suggest some post or blog for generating the custom version number.

    Hi @SachinG31

    There is no automatic generating version number. I meant like other application release numbers like

    MajorVersion.MinorVersion (V 2.3) to display login or home or about app screen. So that you know which version currently using.

    e:g :

    This is just a workaround for the MS bug to retrieve version numbers when more than 100.
