Hi,
I wonder if anyone could explain to me how localization works in powerapps.

I´m building a calender component for my company.

I use powerapps studio (as well as my browsers) in English as it suits me more.

The component is supposed to be in the Czech language and here my issue comes.

The date stays in English even when I use "[$-cs-CZ]mmmm yyyy" in the Text function.

I came up with a workaround ...I wanted to use a collection as a localization table but components dont seem to support collections...

I´ve been searching the forums here but no luck so far...

Thanks a lot

    Change your text formula to the following:

    Text(Now(), "[$-cs-CZ]mmmm yyyy", "cs-CZ")

    This gives you the translations you are looking for.

    I hope this is helpful for you.

    Thanks a lot for your help @RandyHayes ,

    It works nicely.

    I will have one more question though.

    Is there a way to get rid of the Capital letter at the beginning of the month name. In Czech, we do not capitalize months .

    @Hancha

    That actually sounds more like a bug in the localization.  If localized your months are not capitalized, then again, sounds like a problem internal to the Text function.

    But, while holding your breath waiting for that to be fixed...you can just use the following formula:

    Lower(Text(Now(), "[$-cs-CZ]mmmm yyyy", "cs-CZ"))

    Thanks for the workaround!
