How to tell what power apps environment an Azure app registration is associated with

We have a large number of Azure App Registrations, plus associated certificates/secrets.

One of these ( for example ) is called

Service Team Admin Bot (Power Virtual Agents)

Its registration or certificate or secret is about to expire soon, but we cannot see who created it or what its used for.

Can someone tell me how to tell what its been used for ( like what Power Apps environment its associated with).

As something is about to expire, we would like to know what its used for.

It it possible for the app registration to be created automatically , for example when the power virtual agent was created ?

Hi @gregbooth , Any app registration that has been created in Microsoft Entra ID can be used in Power Platform as App user or Application User. So, if you have Power Platform admin rights, then you can check all environments manually and check the app users. Please check this article which explain how to view application user in an environment. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-application-users

For your second query:  Yes, it is true that whenever you create Chat Bot aka PVA, it automatically creates App registration in Microsoft Entra ID. BTW Chat Bot aka PVA now part of Microsoft Copilot Studio. Please check : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/fundamentals-what-is-copilot-studio

Hi. Thanks - my question is can i tell what environment the app registration is associated with, rather than having to check each environment manually. Does this mean there is no way to easily do this ?

Hi @gregbooth, So, yes OOTB there is no direct way, however you can always create Power Automate. Example: An instant Power Automate which will use List Rows action of Microsoft Dataverse and look for a table named as Chatbots. That will give you a list of chatbots against that current environment and then you can find bots for that environments

If you have many environments, then you can use below action if you have Power Platform environment rights.

Then use apply to each action with below action:

Then use another apply to each to get the name of chatbot and then further store those value in excel. With this you can have all bots in all environments in excel file which will help you take further action.

NOTE: This require premium license because you are using Microsoft Dataverse connector and also require Power Platform Admin right for 2nd option.
