CoE Starter Kit - Apps and flows missing

We've installed the CoE inventory components, and for some reason the CoE sync flows are not detecting some of the apps and flows and adding them to the CoE tables for the Power BI to show in the report.

There is data being added to the CoE but it's incomplete.

Are there certain ownerships/app/flows/etc that are excluded by the CoE inventory sync?  There doesn't seem to be a pattern.

I have the same question (0)

@byrnep , the user account that used for the connections, does it have the Power Platform Admin role from Microsoft 365? It needs this role to be able to see all of the Power Platform environments and their contents.

Yes the account for the connections had power platform admin assigned.  It's a service account.

What I'm seeing is some flows or apps are picked up and others are not.

Also, flows that are changes from stopped to start the state isn't picked up either.

I'm Debugging this so I'm forcing the syncs to run when with no delay and I've turn on full inventory as well. We don't have a very large tenant.

    Hi @byrnep,

when did you installed the COE in your environment?

Reason why I'am asking, It almost took a week for us until all the apps and flows where shown up e.g. in the Power Platform Admin view of CoE. Even if the flows to sync them into CoE tables where running.

@LimeLeaf It was installed over the last couple of days.

I've been running the flows without the delay and full inventory yesterday to try and debug it, but it's non trivial to do that.

I did note that the daily will only run at random hours once a day, and the 'helper's to clean up every 2 weeks.  That seemed a bit odd.

So it'll take a week for all the flows / apps to show in the power BI? Why so long..?

@byrnep It took that long for us to have them all popping up for us in the "Power Platform Admin View" app, inside the CoE solution.

Did you checked this App an it's flow inventory? Does this contain all flows of you tenant?

If all of the power automate flows who are collection the data for the CoE are up and running, and none of them are failing the data should be available. I remember a certain order in the manual of the CoE how you have to turn the flows on to collect data, did you consider this?

@LimeLeaf yes I did the June update and I also stopped and started all the flows as mentioned in the docs again after I changed the environment variable to no delay and full inventory to make sure the flows picked up latest. I did change the variables default and added an override for good measure in default solution. Its not possible to change variables in managed solution itself.

What's missing is a flow and the desktop flow that it calls in production. The QAC version is showing up from QAC. The only difference is the owner in production is a person (for the moment) but that shouldn't have anything to do with it should it?

@byrnep Do you see your full flow inventory in the Power "Platform Admin View App" inside of the COE solution?

I'm asking because it might be a problem inside Power BI - As I understand you are using Power BI to visualize the  flow inventory?

Power BI report and the CoE tables match.

The flows aren't loading all the data into the tables for some reason. It's only certain flows, or desktops that aren't being captured in the CoE tables, not whole environments.

@byrnep I noticed that UI Flows and desktop flows are recorded in different tables.

    UI Flows:

    "Normal" Flows:

This is also presented in the CoE as:

You checked both tables and UI flows section is empty?

@LimeLeaf  Yes they use different tables, the desktop flow table isn't empty, it's missing desktop flows that I know are there.

    Could be this. https://github.com/microsoft/coe-starter-kit/issues/2755
