Issue of Power Automate Flow in CoPilot Studio

HI ,

I am currently in the learning phase of Copilot Studio. I have taken a dataset of 25K rows in Excel, which contains product-related information for my organization. I created a customized action using a Power Automate flow to fetch the correct data. In Copilot, I am getting accurate answers for basic queries, but when I ask more complex or intelligent questions, it doesn't provide the correct responses. For example, when I ask for count-related information, the answer is incorrect. While basic searches like 'What are the details of a product?' work fine, other more advanced questions do not return accurate results. How can I improve this? Please guide me.

Yes i think there are still some limitations in these kind of processing.

May be you can try the below,

    • Try segmenting your Excel dataset by creating multiple sheets or splitting the file into smaller datasets that are more specialized. This could make queries more efficient.
    • You can also create summarized views of your data that pre-aggregate certain pieces of information. Instead of asking the bot to compute counts dynamically, you can ask it to pull from an already aggregated dataset.
    • Or For count-based queries or other calculations, consider adding calculated fields in your data source or Excel sheet. These could help Copilot retrieve and summarize the relevant data without needing extensive interpretation.

Also in some post, people have suggested : If your queries involve significant filtering, calculations, or grouping, it might be necessary to implement an intermediate logic layer. You can use Azure Logic Apps or more advanced Power Automate flows that handle the computational aspect of the queries before passing the results to Copilot.

But i believe copilot is improving day by day. Hopefully we will get more efficient answers from those in future.

    Thanks.

Issue of Power Automate Flow in CoPilot Studio
    Hello,

The issue of Power Automate Flow in CoPilot Studio can arise due to various factors, impacting the smooth automation of processes.

Common problems include flow failures caused by incorrect trigger configurations, missing or outdated connectors, and insufficient permissions to access certain resources. Additionally, complex workflows may face errors in conditional logic or data parsing, leading to incomplete tasks.

Another challenge could be the integration between different apps or services that Power Automate connects to. To resolve such issues, it’s essential to regularly review and test flow settings, update connectors, and ensure proper permissions and error handling are in place.
