Does using a Dataverse table in a Canvas App require Premium License?

I'm looking into the best options to develop an app for my company, and I have a bit of a hard time understanding all the license options.

My colleagues (who will be the users) and I have the basic Office365 licenses - and there could be about 200 users who will be using the app. I can use a Dataverse table connector for development, but when I try to publish it says that I need a Premium License.

This is confusing because, the regular 'premium' connectors show a diamond next to them:

But the Dataverse tables don't:

Agreed - pricing is complex and is a moving target.

Google 'dataverse for teams'.  My understanding is that this is a limited version of Dataverse, included as part of Model Driven apps i.e. you don't need a Premium account to run it nor do you need to pay for Dataverse as a premium connector.  You need to discover if the limitations will be a problem for you. For my project, they aren't.

I'd appreciate any feedback here as I am also looking at this and have the same issues as you.
