basic SP form 3 column design question

hi. i have a three column form (connected to a SP data source). i simply want the grey section to be on it's own column with nothing under it.

i can't prevent the other fields from automatically moving under in (see the notes field). i have tried using snap and no snap to grid.

is there a way to do this? could i even create a SEPERATE form with the grey fields but have it connected to the same data source?

Have you tried to put in a Custom DataCard?  If you add a Custom DataCard before Notes in your field list and size it properly, the Notes field will then be where you want it.  Basically you will be inserting a blank placeholder.

I hope that is helpful for you.

hi. thanks for the reply. if it's not too much trouble, how do you do a custom data card? i'm coming from sharepoint.

is it just putting in a single line field and making everything invisible?

Ah, no worries.  In the form, click edit fields.  Then on the top right, click the "..." and choose to add a cutom data card.

You can add as many as needed in your form to space things out properly.
