What are the steps to remove the sole PCF code component from a managed solution? The solution does not contain anything else.
Hi @ra8701 ,
I'm not very sure if I get what you mean, but how about uninstalling the managed solution?
Kind regards,
Diana
In addition to @DianaBirkelbach 's comment above - Are you wanting to remove the control from the solution in the CLI flow- PCF added via add-reference command ? I think use case is valid and a way to remove-reference might be useful. I will pass the feedback to CLI team.
Thanks,
Hemant
@HemantG - A "remove reference" option for PCFs would also help address the periodic issue people run into where removing a PCF from a form occasionally only partially removes the form XML references, leaving behind a ghost 'dependency'. Tell me where to upvote this idea of yours, and I am there.
You cannot remove an item from a Managed Solution (only from an Unmanaged Solution). As already suggested you can try uninstalling the Managed Solution, but if there are dependences you may need to resolve them (e.g. take the Control off a field etc) before it will let you remove the Solution.
From the past I remember it was a pain to find PCF Control dependences (not sure if this has improved or not)
Solution dependency tab tells what forms , views are using the control . try it again and let me know where you see the issues and we will address them,
hemant
