Removed code component is still the dependency of the canvas app

I imported a code component following the tutorial https://youtu.be/xqUBFJfNvyM Later on, I don't need it anymore, so I deleted it from the app. Here is the screenshot to show that there is no more code component:

However, the issue is that this code component becomes the dependency of the app even I had deleted it from the app. Please see the screenshot below. I got this screenshot from the Solution, and show the dependency of the app.

Does anyone know how I can remove this dependency?

Thanks!

In VScode you can open up the XML of the zip package where you can search for this dependency and remove it. It is frustrating then when removing the component it doesn't do this for you.

@phipps0218 Thank you for your advice!

I unzipped the solution file and removed the dependency. And I zipped the files. However, I got this error message when importing:

Was there any specific step that I missed?

    Thanks!

I just realized I zipped the folder containing solution contents, so when I import, it sees the zipped folder. What I should do is zipping only the contents of the export.
