Canvas studio enums error

They are giving me an error in the designer interface, showing a squiggly line under the enum values.
 
 
Is there a different way to do these. Is it an new analysis engine problem. 
They have been showing up for months now, so I am finally trying to fix it.

    Your using the DataCard, not the DataCardValue (control in the DataCard) so you need to do it there. Not where you have it now.

    Hello @FLMike maybe my question was missing information. I use the checkbox to show the retired status. I deleted the default combobox that shows up with the Choice fields in a form. Just like the combobox (and any field), I am referencing the Default property of a datacard. The squiggly disappears after I edit the formula. It reappears if you open the app.
