I have an end user that wanted a dropdown list of Teams to display in chronological or reverse chronological order of creation. Copilot is telling me it can't be done due to the limitations of the metadata it returns. Please change this.

Currently MicrosoftTeams.GetAllTeams() does not return the team creation date.

Workaround you can try ,  Use Microsoft Graph API (/v1.0/groups) or PowerShell (Get-Team | Select DisplayName, CreatedDateTime) to get the creation date.

Other alternative is use Power Automate to get team data via Graph API and store it in SharePoint, Excel, or Dataverse for sorting.

Yes @SwatiSTW, this is exactly (practically cut and paste) what copilot says. I'm trying not to convert my Power App into a Premium Canvas App just because I want to reorder the results of a dropdown menu.

Understood what you looking for , i feel below workaround will help
    1. Power Automate with Graph API – Use Power Automate to call Microsoft Graph API /v1.0/groups, get createdDateTime, store in SharePoint/Excel, and retrieve in PowerApps.
    2. PowerShell with SharePoint – Run Get-Team | Select DisplayName, CreatedDateTime, export data to SharePoint/Excel, and use PowerApps SortByColumns() to order the dropdown.
    3. Manual Data Sync – Export team creation dates from Microsoft 365 Admin Center, store in SharePoint/Excel, and use PowerApps to sort and display the list.
