Run flow from power apps

Hi Team,

Is there a way to somehow run flow from power app with flow connections running under a specific user?

When the flow is triggered for a selected item (not from Powerapp), we can specify which connections should be used (specific or provided by a run-only user).

I would like to provide same options for a flow triggered from power app.

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Pavel

One thought is to provide the user to the flow as a parameter, via the User() function.

This is a work-around, of course.

I do not think this will work.

What I would like to achieve is not provide User() as a parameter, as User() is a user currently using the power app.

But rather, run connections under the service account.

The flow has connections like SharePoint, Outlook, Plumsail (custom)... and I need that SharePoint and Plumsail connectors should be running under the service account instead of a User().

Ah, ok.  Then you can probably create an Azure Function for that.

    Hi,

Currently I don't think there is a way to achieve that.

The Connection for each action added within the Microsoft Flow during Editing, is somehow "hard-coded" in the Flow when it is running.

There is an idea submitted on this topic:

Change original owner of a flow

Basically the connection is specified by the original creator, and based on what I know, currently there is no possible workaorund to deal with that.

Please consider vote up the idea above, or create your own one.

    Regards,

    Michael
