How to delete some apps in powerapps

Hi Everyone,

Our organisation has been using power apps since 2 years. At the beginning we have installed some templates and some sample applications in our environment like asset checkout, fundraiser etc.

We want to delete completely these programs from our environment but get several errors regarding the relationships and dependencies. Even for some programs like fundraiser the delete command is disabled.

What should I do to remove these applications.

I have the same question (0)

Obviously, have you tried to delete firstly the dependencies?

    Hi @Agagunduz ,

You can't directly delete sample apps from within the Power Apps environment. Sample apps are templates provided by Microsoft to help users understand and get started with building apps. However, it is possible to hide them from the app list.

    Follow the below steps,

    1. Log in to the Power Apps maker portal and navigate to the specific environment where you want to manage the sample apps.

    2. In the left navigation menu, click on "Apps". This will display a list of all the apps available in the environment.

    3. Hide the Sample Apps:

      • Find the sample apps you want to hide in the list.
      • Select the app by clicking on its name or icon.
      • In the top-right corner of the app details page, click on the "..." (more options) menu.
      • Choose the "Manage" option.
      • In the "App Settings" section, toggle off the "Show in list of available apps" option.
    4. Save Changes: After hiding the sample app, make sure to save your changes.

Please note that hiding the sample app from the list will prevent it from being shown to users within the Power Apps portal. However, it won't actually delete the app from the environment.

If you need to remove a sample app entirely from the environment, you might need to consult the latest official Power Apps documentation or reach out to Microsoft support for the most accurate and up-to-date information on managing apps in your specific environment.

    Hello @Agagunduz,

You cannot remove the apps individually, but you can uninstall the solutions in which they are contained. For example, to get rid of the Asset Management app, you will have to remove the Asset Management solution instead of deleting the Asset Management app:

If you cannot remove the Asset Management solution because there are dependencies, you will have no choice but to get rid of these dependencies first. For example, someone might have created a canvas app that uses tables inside the Asset Management solution, resulting in a dependency. To remove this dependency, you have to either remove the table from the canvas app created by the user, or remove the canvas app altogether.

To systematically do this, you can get an overview of the dependencies for each solutions by using the "Show dependencies" button:
