Agent stops responding in MS Teams

We created an agent and connected it to MS Teams. It worked fine yesterday but it doesn't respond to my colleague anymore today. For me it works and in test panel it also works. It seems that just her session is affected. Session is marked as "Abgeschlossen" (="Completed"), but how can she continue to work with that agent in MS Teams?

The Teams session ended due to a timeout or the End-of-Conversation topic, and it won't automatically resume.

Recommended steps, in order:

Type Start over in the chat to reset.

If available, click "New conversation" and send a message.

Remove and re-add the agent in Teams.

Sign out and sign back in to Teams to refresh the bot token.

Clear the Teams cache (%AppData%\Microsoft\Teams or the new Teams LocalCache) and restart the app.

Causes: This can happen due to the default 30-minute inactivity timeout, an expired authentication token, or the End of Conversation system topic triggering.

To prevent this: In Copilot Studio, go to Settings, review the End of Conversation topic, re-publish, and ensure she installs the latest version.

Quick tip: Simply starting over is usually the fastest solution.

But on starting over, I assume the previous chat will not be remembered by the agent?

And where can I find "End of Conversation topic" in Settings?

You can use:

Restart

Start over

Neustart (as I see it is in German)

You can also use /debug clearstate

This special debug command forces a complete reset:

Deletes all conversation variables
Removes cached connector information
Resets authentication
Loads the latest agent version

No, each new chat session starts without knowledge of previous conversations unless you manually save or re-enter the context.

About the "End of Conversation" topic: This isn't available in a general Settings page. In Copilot Studio, you can find it by opening your bot, navigating to Topics, enabling System topics, and then looking for "End of Conversation", where you can edit trigger phrases or closing messages. In Bot Framework / Composer, it's managed as an EndOfConversation activity rather than a standard setting.
