Download on your pc, tablet or mobile phone an application from Appsource.com

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to download an application from Appsource to my local pc in order to use it during the free trial period. If it is not possible to download it during the free trial period -and use it only in your web browser- after purchasing the application what should you do in order to use it in your pc, tablet or mobile phone?

Thank you very much.

    Hi @Van17,

To work the app on local pc, you will need to have the PowerApps studio on your pc and work with the app in the studio or you can use it on your web browser. We also just published the offline mode of PowerApps. See detailed information here:

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/build-offline-apps-with-new-powerapps-capabilities/

But you will still need the PowerApps studio to open it while offline.

After purchasing, you can use it whether on a web browser anywhere, or use it on windows studio, or tablet PowerApps app or mobile PowerApps app.

    Regards,

    Mona

    Hello @v-monli-msft,

Thank you for the answer. May I also ask something else?

I have an account in Office365 and i want to upload an application that i have built in PowerApps to make it available for potential clients in AppSource.com.

    1) Does the client need to have his own account in Office365?

    2) If yes and he also has PowerApps application installed in his mobile phone or tablet, how can he download and use the application to his PowerApps?

I know how to share the application to my colleagues within the company but i am not sure how to make it available to others.

    3) In addition, in our application we use custom API connector, how can the client have access to this connector?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Van17,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

    Here are the answers:

    1) Yes, if you want the user to use his own PowerApps, he will need an o365 account to access the app from web or studio.

    2) You share the app to him or he can creat his own in PowerApps. You will always need PowerApps to open your app, whether it's on powerapps web site or inside powerapps studio. You can share apps with users in your organization but not users in another tenant.

    3) Please refer to Share your custom connector.

Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

    Regards,

    Mona
