Bot will not recognize trigger words

I have created topics for my bot of both Bill To information and Ship To information. The Bill To trigger words work just fine but when I type any variation of Ship To, I get the "start over" topic. Yet, if I type open balances, for example, it triggers just fine. Here is my list of trigger words for my topic Ship To TEST 1...

open balances on this ship to
when was this ship to closed
was this ship to closed
is this ship to active
field rep for this ship to
gpo for this ship to
what is the credit limit for this ship to
ST
ship
ship to
--Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what's going on here.

Did the topic overlap detection feature provide anything?

If you can get an admin to open a support request for you and provide your contact details for the Support Engineer, that would probably be the best way to troubleshoot this and identify the root cause.

Hi Henry, I don't use any variation of Ship or Ship To in any other topics.

I'm curious to know where the confusion comes from.

Do you use "Ship" in other topic trigger phrases that might explain why "Ship To" isn't immediately associated with your topic?

I don't repro when I re-use the trigger phrases you provided:

Okay, I thought it may be a little cuckoo that a word would have such an effect but stranger things have happened. Thank you for your time.

Just because the trigger is in the utterances, does not mean it will match if you use the verbatim trigger in the bot - I think if you do the design practices above, it will work much better for you!

Hi Peter. That makes sense. I suppose I should tighten it up a bit. Any idea why it is having such a hard time with the word ship though? It will trigger with all of the other words but when I type ship I get the start over topic. I know this sounds crazy but could it have anything to do with the fact that it looks and sounds like another rather unpleasant word? Would there be some logic built in the backside to avoid curse words? Thanks!

Re: Bot will not recognize trigger words

The segmentation on these topics is somewhat confusing. Ideally, those triggers should likely be their own dialogs. My suggestion would be to have topics like:

Billing status - Is this bill open or closed?

    - Open

    - Closed

    Shipping status

    - Open

    - Closed

    Who is the field rep

    Who is the GPO

And create list entities for field rep, gpo, open, closed etc. The question node will slot fill so if you say something more specific it should skip straight to your lookups. If there is not enough information it should prompt.

This will also let you have a wider range of training data for each dialog.

Hi Henry. I do not have the Help - Support option available. I am not the admin for this license. I am an employee creating the bot for my company.

That’s odd. Can I ask that you open a support request for this?https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/get-help-support

Feel free to IM me the number.
