I have a sequence of getting prechat info and creating a contact out of that information. However it takes long to create a contact as we have some post contact operations. Is that possible that we can have a parallel topic or flow that can be executed while customer is being greeted.

You could have your Power Automate flow respond back to PVA and only then trying to create the contact. For example:
That is assuming you do not need report back to the user once the contact has been created.
