Power Apps form opens in new page instead of side panel on SharePoint document library 'Edit all'

Why, when I click on a SharePoint document library on Details → Edit all,

Why does the customized form created with Power Apps open in a new page? I would like the form to remain editable within the side panel instead of opening a new page.

Why does this behavior happen, and how can I fix it?

That is the default behavior and I don't think it can be changed. If you do that before you create a Power Apps custom form it opens as a dialog page in front of the document library. So I think the best you would be able to accomplish is to get it to do the same thing. Open as a full page with a dialog box.

I enabled this setting, but the behavior remains the same — I haven't noticed any difference.

That setting won't affect the edit All for the properties panel. As the note suggests its only for the new, edit, and view forms. As I said, I don't think there is a way to do what you want.

Hi @RoseMilazzo,

This is something new (I noticed it recently on my prod lists) and quite unwelcome. You can set Launch forms in dialogue, but it does not always work, instead doing a full-screen with the form at the far left. You will also notice that the top icon says Details instead of the "i" icon.

Thanks for the answers. That Power Apps feature is a bit of a hassle — hope it gets resolved soon.

I’m getting the same issue. I don’t understand why you are saying that’s how it is. There are plenty of tutorials that show it open on the side panel of document library. Anyone figure how to fix this?
