I am working on solution inside power platform. which contain power apps and power automate. now we have an approval email address where all the submitted items will be sent to this approval email. now since this approval email differ from our Dev and Prod environments, we i am planning to create an environment variable which store this email address and reference it inside our power apps and power automate ,,, so is this a valid appraoch? i always use environment variables to store data source info,, but notsure if they are appropriate to store email address as well?

I believe that's a good approach. I do exactly the same. I have built an App for a Service Desk. In my Solution I have an environment variable for holding a group email address. That way when I am in Development or Test Environment the emails go to a test email account. When the Solution goes into Production the Email address is the actual Service Desk Group Account.

    Hope this helps.

Maybe this is not what you were looking for, but I wouldn't see why an environment variable wouldn't work if another variable like my example does.  Let me know if it behaves differently... curious...
