Hi, I created a PowerApps application which is having excel as one of the data sources.

When I am filtering columns in excel, I am getting below error in run time.

Excel rows : 32000,

Excel columns 30.

Error :

The requested operation is invalid.
Server Response: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: Syntax error at position 7 in 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx''.
inner exception: Syntax error at position 7 in 'PR Name eq 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx''.

Any Idea about the error

Would be great if somebody could help.

Many thanks and best regards,

Vijay Dirisala

Its a bit hard to tell, but I suspect you either used a double quote or missed using a single quote in the filter at the appropriate spot.  Could you show use the filter being used?

Hey, @Pstork1  Thank you for your response.

I found a solution/workaround to remove spaces in the excel column header and refreshed the database.

    Now the error is gone.

I am suspecting that if we add space in the column name, It is taking a single quote for filters.

Ex: if my column header is Project Name - PowerApp is taking 'Project Name' and when compared with text, failing to load, giving run time error.

Yes, you need to put single quotes around the column name if it contains a space.  Otherwise the flow will only take the first word as the column name and try to use the second word as the operator.

Yes, I agree. I just changed all my columns with spaces and now there is not errors in my code.

    Thank you Vijay!
