Hello Community Superheroes,

I want to delete all records of an entity table from within my powerapp. I know I can use the "Remove" function using "ALL" as an argument, but I don't how to use it. Is this the right approach? If not, could you tell me the right one please?

Thanks!

    Hi @karimabdelrazek :

Do you want to remove all records of a entity by canvas app?

Firstly, using the parameter "ALL" in the remove function cannot delete all records.

The "ALL" parameter is used to delete all copies of a record.

I think this link will help you a lot:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-remove-removeif#syntax

Secondly,If you want to delete all records in an entity, I have an alternative.

    RemoveIf(yourentity,!IsBlank(theprimarykey))

This formula deletes all records where the primary key is not empty. Because the primary key cannot be empty, all records will be deleted.

    Best Regards,

    Bof

    RemoveIf(yourentity,!IsBlank(theprimarykey))

Does seem subject to delegation issues, so 2000 records max.

    RemoveIf(yourentity, true)

It's not necessary to provide a condition to compare against - true works fine. That being said, it won't bulk delete a large number of records. After a certain point, removeif gives up - maybe this is a time-out, maybe this is a throttling situation, I don't know - but I've tried this many times. I was forced to use the system bulk delete function to be assured of complete success.
