How can we connect Power Bi to Copilot Studio and build a chatbot to answer questions about the dashboard?

I'd be interested to see how this works too.

I'm presently looking into custom analytics and found this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/analytics-sessions-transcripts. and this:https://github.com/microsoft/CopilotStudioSamples/tree/master/CustomAnalytics

I guess this would be the step before integrating Power BI outputs. If you have any more feedback around this on what you discover I'd be interested to read about it and can share my own discoveries as I go along with it as well. 👌🏻

I'm also interested in this...and if not Power BI, then what about Fabric artifacts--dataflows, warehouses, lakehouses, etc.

I have'nt tried this till now. But below may be an approach that can help.

Enable the Power BI Q&A which is a natural language processing (NLP) feature that allows users to ask questions about the data in natural language. This will be the foundation for how Copilot can interpret user queries and respond with dashboard insights.

Power Automate is needed for connecting Power BI to Copilot Studio. You can create flows that trigger based on user queries to pull the relevant data from Power BI. Create a flow that listens for questions coming from your chatbot, queries the Power BI API, and sends back the relevant data.
