Git - Some commits delete all app components

We have been working on a project using the git integration for Power Apps with Azure DevOps.

Twice, when committing new changes, the app becomes completely empty without any components, screens or data connexions.

On the commits from DevOps, we can clearly see that on the latest commits, all the files are deleted.

To fix:

 - Clone the repo on a computer

 - Download files from a older version before deletion

 - Replace files from repo with older version files

 - Commit & push on repo

 - Re-open the app

If I delete the Git repo in Azure devops that's connected to a power app, does it delete this power app?

Thank you for your answer and the added details.

In our case, we never use Ctrl+S.

The issue seems to appear whenever we copy/paste controls on screens and more specifically inside containers.

Could you maybe tell me if any of your devs are using the Ctrl + S shortcut to save ?
We have the same issue but we noticed if everyone stops using Ctrl + S but instead uses UI Save or Sync button the issue no longer occurs. All four save options seem to do different things:

    1. Save button (optional commit message): Push and pull

    2. Sync button: Push and Pull With default message

    3. Ctrl+S: Saves the app (and commits) but doesnt pull/sync
    4. F12: Same as Ctrl+S but downloads a copy of the .msapp file
