Creating message in Teams from checkbox in excel (hyperlinks, @ team member)

Hi all,

Just started dipping my toes into power automate. Enjoying it so far, but wanted to see if there were any tips on how to create what I'm trying to create.

I want the following to happen when a checkbox is ticked in excel:

  • A message is posted in teams that starts with @ing a team member (with the team member name taken from the spreadsheet)
  • A hyperlink is automatically added to the message. It would be created by searching a teams folder for a file that starts with the same code as one present in the spreadsheet.
  • Possibly, a yes/no prompt on the teams message. If yes, then another cell in the spreadsheet changes to green.

Basically, our workplace is being forced to use teams for approvals for the forseeable future.

Here's an example message I want to make:

"Hi @team member (name taken from spreadsheet), please find XYZ file here (hyperlink to a file). Do you approve this?"

Thanks!
