Patching to two separate Sharepoint Lists

Hi,

I've built an audit app based on 2 Sharepoint lists, a schedule ('IPS Schedule') and an audit database ('Skem IPS PowerApp'). What we are tring to do is Patch the audit data to 'Skem IPS PowerApp' and at the same time chnage the 'IPS Schedule' item from Outstanding to Complete. We're not sure the best way of matching the two lists together so that when an audit is completed the schedule changes to complete.

I've attached some images below to hoepfully make this clearer.

Regards

@Sean_T - I think you need to provide more detail.

As I understand it, when a new record is created in IPS Schedule (let's call it "List1"), you also want to create a new record in "Skem IPS PowerApp" (let's call it "List2") at the same time.

    1. Are you creating multiple "child" records in List2 which are records associated to a single record in List1?
    2. What is your definition or logic to establish when an audit is completed? For example, should List1 only get updated to "Complete" if multiple child records in List2 are also marked as Complete?

    Hi Amik,

No, the app has a schedule (List 1) which is a fixed schedule in Sharepoint. We follow this schedule through a gallery (image below) and then create an audit based on what's outstanding which is saved in List 2.

There's a couple of issues as I see it:

    1. How do we associate the two lists

    2. when we complete an outstanding audit how do we change List 1 column 'Audit Status' from Outstanding to Complete.

    Hope I've explained this correctly.

    Regards

@Sean_T sorry I cannot understand what you're trying to do based on the description provided. I suggest raising a new post so that other community users have a look.
