Dear reader,
There is currently confusion about the number of externally controlled logins for an already existing Customer Portal linked to the Dynamics 365 environment with our Dynamics 365 CE license. Previously the following was valid.
Default Dynamics 365 Portal and Page Views
The Dynamics 365 Portal provides you the capability to extend your Dynamics 365 applications into
cloud hosted web portals, each of which is easily configurable for your employees, partners and
customers. The Portal includes 1 million-page views, with additional page view bundles available for
purchase
Now I see that the rules regarding the use of power portals have been adjusted, but I also see that this does not apply to linked portals to dynamics environments. Can someone give me clarity how many external validated logins are included with our Dynammics 365 CE license taking into account that this is of course linked to our environment of Dynamics
As far as I know, it doesn't matter if your Portal is connected to CDS or Dynamics.
The only difference is that current Dynamics customers are typically in some sort of contract, during which Microsoft will honor the current price until it expires.
Once it expires, you'd be expected to move to the new licensing model (based on login and page views, not on per-instance).
Hope that helps.
Nick
