We have developed and sell an MS Access / SQL server application.
The application is installed locally at client site. All clients have the same schema (database model)
We have an iOs/Android app that works as an extension for mobile connectivity (a subset of the full application is implemented in app). (App work by opening firewall at client site to our web service)
We find app development slow and costly, and are therefore looking into Powerapps.
(We can install on-premise gateway at client site)
However, I cannot find good answers to have we would handle distribution, installation and updates. '
We would need to do regular updates without too much hassle.
Also, I like to control the application (prevent users from distributing and/or changing the app)
Can PowerApps fit my needs?
If so - how can I accomplish this?
(I have tried at one client site the export file and then import in their organisation/enviornment. But all sql connectors hade to be manually recreated because of different database names..)
Note: I have built a prototype, so this is not a functional question, but how we can develop and distribute to our customers.
I hope we do not have to manually import and manually recreate flows and connections at each customer site for each update..
