Topic Naming

Posted on by

In order to manage a large number of topics, it is useful to use a naming convention. However, if a user types in a single word that could match multiple topics, by default it outputs:

Sorry, I didn't get that. Did you mean:

Followed by a list of the topic names.

The topic naming convention means that the name shown is not user friendly. Is there a way to have an additional user friendly topic name?

    Hi Partner

Currently its not possible to have the naming convention, however once user enters any phrases, it will give you the list of topics and topic name can be friendly.

    Hello @Anonymous

Consider posting an idea in the ideas page for this feature:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Ideas/ct-p/pva_ideas

I see your pain, I normally try and use a numerical list, like:

    1.1 Get Employee Details

    1.2 Submit Employee Details

    1.3 Status on Employee Submissions

    2.1 Get Contractor Details

    2.2 ...

    2.3 ...

this way even if the bot has a ‘Did you mean’ moment, it still looks readable to the user, but also keeps a structure for the developer
