How to trigger an event using the API calls

Hi everyone,

I need to activate the 'Event Received' trigger in Copilot using API calls.

As per the example from @HenryJammes from this topic:

AleStorn_0-1706788305626.png

With this parameters:

{
 "type": "event",
 "name": "lesson1"
}

Is it possible to integrate the Direct Line API into a C# solution without the Bot Framework?

If that's not feasible, how could I transform a C# REST API into a skill for Copilot with the Bot Framework SDK?

How do I send a Direct Line API request with those parameters to activate the trigger?

    Hi @AleStorn

    I don't see why not, it's a REST-based API.
    It's documented here: API reference - Direct Line API 3.0 - Bot Service | Microsoft Learn
