Problems with "Scale to Fit"

Hi everybody,

I have several problems with property "scale to fit".

Initial situation

- I have a screen with two components

- Component A is a gallery with flexible height. If I select any Item there the flexible height gets expanded and shows another gallery with sub items

- Component B is a horizontal gallery. This gallery shows a progress status of an item.

Problems

- When "Scale to fit" is enabled the flexible height of component is not working for other resolutions than the resolution which is setup for the app. Ok this is something what I may can understand and why I have disabled the property "Scale to fit" in app settings.

- When "Scale to fit" is disabled I cannot see the horizontal gallery of component B. If I just add a button into component B the button is shown, but the gallery is not. When I enable "Scale to fit" again, component B is shown as desired.

- When "Scale to fit" is disabled the app is not loading correctly when I run it. I can run it every time from DEV Mode but when I try to run it from browser without DEV Mode I need 2, 3 or even more times to click run to have shown the app. Sometimes I see just a short splash of my app for a second or I get only a grey display. When "Scale to fit" is enabled it seems to work every time.

Anybody ideas what is going on there when "Scale to fit" is disabled? It seems to be very buggy currently.

Any other experiences? Or tips to prevent any problem?

    Hi @jiwanovski ,

The "Scale to fit" option within PowerApps is used to scale your app to fit the available space. When you turn on this option, your app would be fit to the available space, and it would lock the aspect ratio for your app.

If you turn off this option, it would just allow the control layout within your app adjust to the available space, and your app controls would lose the aspect ratio.

In addition, in order to improve your app's performance, and provide a better UI experience, please consider turn on the "Scale to Fit" option.
