Ribbon Workbench issue in model driven App: hidden Legacy buttons still show in Model driven app

I used ribbon workbench to hide some Legacy buttons of an entity in model driven apps, and they were hidden for a while,  however they suddenly showed up again a few days ago for some of my entities (they remained hidden in others).

Not only that, but now when I use the hide function on ribbon workbench , they show up in the command checker "HideCustomActions" section, however the buttons still show in the model-driven app.

I tried all of the following and nothing has worked so far:

  • removing the entities from the ribbon solution and adding them again
  • removing the hide custom actions and adding them again using ribbon workbench
  • removing the entities from the model driven app and adding them again
  • Regenerating the Ribbon meta data
  • Publishing all customisations using the classic mode.

Has anyone tried anything different that has worked?

I have the same question (0)

Have you by any chance enabled the new "look and feel" for the environment?

I'm not sure but I have seen this cause issues with UI in other cases.

No, I haven't. Thanks for the reply though

Do you have any other solutions on the entities/tables that have been imported to the environment recently?

Solution layering might explain the issue as the "newest" solution will always "right" (with the exception of the unmanaged layer of course) so any changes in the solution layers should also taken into account

Weirdly enough this is happening in the Unmanaged solution too. I checked the tables and app layers but there is only one.

Is there any different in ribbon xml compared the displayed and non-displayed buttons?
