Hi,

I want to built a timesheet in Power App and don't know where to start.

It needs to be able to split hours up across as many rows as necessary. Each time allocation needs to be assigned a project and activiy which is filtered depending on project. So one project will have multiple activities.

I have a SQL database with projects and activities table.

It also needs to have an approval step, which allows user to approve, pass back or reject.

Approver depends on who is submitting the form.

Then, there needs to be an account step where accounts can say which line items have been invoiced and input an invoice number.

Finally, I need the data to write into a SQL database table and update as the app moves through the stages to show where each timesheet is.

This is a huge project, each requirement takes a lot of work to fulfill. It would be better to post a specific question in the forum.

I can give some thoughts about your first needs, If you want to assign the project and acitvity, I think, you need a third table to store the Task details including the project, activity, create by, start date, end date, approver, and so on.

You can add some combo boxes to list project or activity, and date pickers to pick dates, or use EditForm. You can do it more complex and intuitive, depending on your needs. Then use Patch function or SubmitForm function to write back the Task details to table.

This is a simple implementation path, and you can start with a step-by-step approach.
