Cannot Solve Permissions Error!

Sorry, folks; Yes, I am slow on the uptake if the info is spelled out clearly enough.

I've gone round and round on this, and have initiated every change that has been recommended as a fix and I still cannot figure out how to stop the permission error the occurs when I switch from all to restricted on the main landing page.

With everything in place when I turn on permissions and click browse website I get this...

    Hi @Phineas

Please don't worry. Here are the clear instructions

Important: please do not do any settings on the portal studio. Leave the settings as it is and revert all your settings to default. If you don't know what it was just create a new page and check what is the default settings.

Once done. Please follow the below article and if necessary please follow the thread which I have mentioned.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you for your reply.

I believe these were your identical instructions in a previous reply, yes?

If I may, can you clarify what the issue is with making changes from the Portal Studio?

Also you say "...just create a new page..."; does that mean the issue is instigated by the creation of a new page through the Portal Studio?

I'm trying to understand why what is happening is happening; usually I don't care, but this has caused an itch in my brain.

I'm going to delete the portal and start again.

To be clear... you are saying don't make any changes where I see this...

Only make changes where I see this, yes?

    Thank you for your insight...

    Hi @Phineas

Portal studio is still flaky and some of the features are not yet available like setting permissions.

    To make it simple

    1. Always use "Portal Management" to apply any security or web page access control rules.

    Hope it helps.

    I have the same issue
Portal error when enabling Web page Access Control... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

I don't use the Portal Studio, only the Management App to create and it looks specific to a recent provisioned portal.

@Phineas - suggest log a support case with MS.

When did you provision this portal, could be an issue with this version.
