Power Apps Canvas and Copilot Agent

Hi, I have a power apps canvas application. When a user fills columns 1, 2 and 3, I want a dynamic prompt "Provide regulatory requirements as per <column 1>, <column 2> <column 3> to be sent via copilot agent which will have knowledge base of PDF documents. The output is to be then saved in column 4.

Database will be SharePoint list.

Is this possible? If so, can you guide me how? Alternatively is there a better way to achieve this?

Thanks!

    Hello,

what do you mean by dynamic prompt? Is it something that'll pop up after filling the fields? If yes, then the only way is to create a custom integration and run API call to the model. You'd need to use Azure AI Foundry (former Azure AI Studio) to deploy the model with PDF documents as a knowledge base.
Wouldn't it be better to notify the user that he/she should provide the regulatory requirements? Just a simple conditional logic, depending on the fields values. You could also think about a separate agent, which would help with regulatory requirements - the user could ask questions about PDFs and receive answers.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

Thanks @Artur Stepniak for your response!

Basically, what I want to achieve is when user fills columns in Yellow on canvas app, the column in green should auto-populate. It should run a program to go through the PDF documents and fetch required output. So, dynamic prompt would be something like: "An unsafe condition related to signage was observed where the area where duct cleaning was being carried out was not properly barricaded. What regulations can be followed? Please provide a summary in points."

    Hello,

in that case you have two options:

    1. If the logic for fetching the output is stable and could be defined, then I'd suggest you to prepare a separate table with the data, instead of using raw PDFs.
    2. If the logic couldn't be defined, then using GPT model is an option, although you'd need to work on separate deployment, as I've mentioned before. You'd need to add PDFs as a knowledge source and instruct the model on how it should act.

All in all, after fiiling the fields there could be a button or something to fetch the info - from a table like SP list or from GPT API call.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

AI model will serve the requirement. Can this be done using Copilot studio agents or Azure AI Foundry is required?

Based on the information provided I'd go with a separate deployment using Azure AI Foundry with API call based on the button or something. Then you can fill the response from the model to the input text control or something like that.
