After embedding Copilot Chatbot in a SharePoint as PVA Float, the responses with reference SharePoint links opens in same tab and closing the chatbot session. This is creating unwanted user experience

Are you using markdown to create that link in your response?
As far as I am aware it is not possible to add the target attribute to the current link markdown in Copilot studio (which is similar to the Power Automate one: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/approvals-markdown-support#links)
I have seen ideas for that which you can upvote:
