sharepointIntegration.selected properties empty

(1) ShareShare

When I open a custom form to edit a SharePoint-item (select the item in the list and click Edit) the properties under SharePointIntegration.Selected (for example SharePointIntegration.Selected.Title) are empty while the columns have values in the list.

The property SharePointIntegration.SelectedItemID does return the correct Item ID so the link to the datasource seems ok to me.

Does anybody has any idea?

Many thanks in advance.

    Hi @StijnS ,

    The property for the Item of the Form should be

    SharePointIntegration.Selected

    the ID of the selected Item would be

    SharePointIntegration.Selected.ID

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    This property is also empty:

    SharePointIntegration.Selected.ID

    While the following property does return the correct ID:

    SharePointIntegration.SelectedItemID

    At the moment i'm not using these properties in a form, but directly on a canvas. should that make a difference?

    Hi @StijnS ,

    I just tested

    SharePointIntegration.Selected.ID

    on a screen (not in a form) and got the ID of the selected item, however

    SharePointIntegration.SelectedListItemID

    also works (not that I have needed to use it before).

    To your question - the syntax

    SharePointIntegration.Selected.xxxxx

    with xxxxx being a valid field name will return the value of the field, whether on a form or not - just tested 6 of them.

    Have you done any modification to the SharePointIntegration settings?

    Hi @StijnS :

    I made a test an encounted the problem you mentioned.

    Could you publish this app and test it in your sharepoint site?(select and then edit a record)

    When I test in SharePoint, SharePointIntegration.Selected.ID has value.

    @StijnS ,

    As @v-bofeng-msft has also confirmed, you should be able to see these values.

    Why have you changed the OnEdit to

    Set(SharePointFormMode,"EditForm")

    it would normally be

    EditForm(SharePointForm1)

    Try putting all the SharePointIntegration setting back to standard and see if that fixes the issue.

    @WarrenBelz and @v-bofeng-msft

    I Put all the settings in integration back to standard, but the problem persists.

    I also added SharePointForm1 again to see if it does show the correct data, but it's stuck on "Getting you data ...":

    Hi @StijnS :

    Please set the SharePointForm1:

    DataSource:

    [@yourdatasource]

    Item:

    If(IsBlank(SharePointIntegration.Selected) || IsEmpty(SharePointIntegration.Selected),First([@'List A']),SharePointIntegration.Selected)

    After setting, your form should be displayed normally.

    In addition,I also can't get the value of "SharePointIntegration.Selected.ID" in the edit mode of powerapps studio, I suggest you test it in edit record mode in SharePoint after publishing the app.(I suggest you refer to the screenshot I provided yesterday)

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

    The above have been set correctly. I now restored an older version of the form and it works again, but when I add a textbox en republish it faills.

    I'll try to find out why and let you know.

    I ran into the same issue. SharePointIntegration.Selected was blank where the SelectedItemID was not.

    I was able to set the SharePointEditForm1.Item to:

    Last(FirstN(YOUR_LIST_NAME, SharePointIntegration.SelectedListItemID))

    Now the custom SharePoint form displays the correct selected item. Editing and saving works as well. I did have to add a variable to get the form to show the right DisplayMode. I added some custom View, Edit, Save buttons.
