CC_AutoComplete_Name Component - AutoComplete is not able to handle a "." in the name

Hi,

I am trying to use this component for the first time. I want to use it for postal code & city name entry. I noticed that the autocompletion fails when there is a "." in the city name. Eg. St. Moritz.

Any idea how this can be fixed?
