service principal on prem sql powerapps

In order to create a connection to the on prem sql 2022 server using our existing on prem data gateway and authentication type service principal, are these the steps?

     Because you’re talking to an on-premises SQL Server you can’t use the Azure-only options (Entra-ID or Service Principal).
     
    Please refer to those two section.
     
     
    And you can use SQL Server authentication first for the testing. and switch to Windows authentication.
