Bug with User Defined Functions

I've been using the new User Defined Functions in App.Formulas.

The functions were working perfectly for the past few weeks, but the same code is now generating an error:

It seems to be any function with input parameters.

They are still working correctly... i.e. when I reference them throughout the app, the output from the functions work fine. It's just that they are now generating errors within App.Formulas. If I make any changes in App.Formulas (e.g. delete and replace a semi-colon), the errors go away but when I reload the app, they reappear.

Here's an example of the function above working fine

Hi @londontoholland , I tried to replicate this and it is working fine for me without any error:

Could you please confirm that New analysis engine and User-defined functions both are turned on? If not then turn it ON and save the app and close and reopen it.

Hey @ANB , yep both of these are on. I've tried switching them off, reloading and switching them back on again, but I just get the same errors:

@londontoholland What is the Authoring version of your app? Mine is 3.24031.25.

May be it is related to Authoring version of your app.

@ANB same one as you... I even tried to switch to the latest version (3.24032.18) but it made no difference

@londontoholland I would suggest you to get in touch with Microsoft Support. As this feature is still in experiment stage so not sure about the stability.

Hello, I noticed this recently as well. If you edit the formula in any way, it shows ok. However if you save and exit your app, and then reload, or make any other changes to any formula, the same error appears.

I have the exact same issue where I generate some text in a function, but my input values show an error stating they are not defined. If I erase 1 letter, then enter it again, formula works as intended. But then after some time (or a refresh, or any edit to any Name Formulas or UDFs), the error returns.

I wanted to see if you had any further progress with dealing with this situation. I am having the same issues that you are describing and haven't been able to fix it.

For me, it self-corrected some time ago, but cropped back up in 3.24054.19 (Although I prefer this vs 3.24054.17 where the advanced options for all controls vanished). I'm sure it'll be fixed in a future version.
