Cant update PCF control

Hi,

I cant update the solution in model-driven app. Manifest version uploaded is 2.0.5, I have changed it to 2.0.6 and it is not working. I've tried changing the solution.xml as well as incrementing the minor (2.1.0). Nothing is working. Does anybody know whats going on?

Hi @cchannon,

I'm not getting any error message. This is what's happening:
The old PCF solution is already installed in the environment and working
I do changes to the PCF control code and test it with "npm start" to see that the changes are working
Then I build a new solution file with incremented version in manifest (I have also tried incrementing the solution verion).
I upload the updated solution to the environment with a "successful import" message, but the code changes are not being updated. I also check the solution layer in power apps but no changes to version/manifest.

The workaround is to delete the custom control from the solution and then upload the solution.

Ah, yeah, I've seen that before, though usually when using pac pcf push. Sometimes the publish doesn't happen correctly for PCFs. Not clear to m why, but ah well.

Try just doing a Publish All and a hard refresh in your browser: it should then give you that "app has been updated" banner at the top promoting you to refresh again. Then you should see your changes.
