Applying a System Administrator to a Default Environment

Morning All,

I'm currently experiencing issues in regards to administering Model Driven Apps within the company and having the rights to delete these applications if they've been created erroneously.

In the default environment, our company have nobody assigned as a Systems Administrator (I'm the only one working with PowerApps), we've had our GA's attempt to assign themselves as Dynamics Administrator and assign a SysAdmin role, but they don't have these permissions on a GA level.

Is there a certain combination of roles and licensing that's required to automatically add a SysAdmin into the default environment to in turn promote others to that level?

    Brilliant, thanks for your help.

It's infuriating that we need a combination of both GA and a PA licence to get this set up, but it means we can get this done now.

    Hi @Greeny1989

Do you want to know how to have Systems Administrator role in default environment?

Firstly, no users will be added to the Environment Admin role of the default environment automatically.

So at the beginning, the default environment does not have one Environment Admin role.

If you want to assign roles, you need to be an Azure AD tenant Global administrator role, and assign roles here:

    https://admin.powerapps.com/environments

What's more, the person who purchased  Microsoft business subscription will become the Azure AD tenant Global administrator role automatically.

The  person who is Azure AD tenant Global administrator role could assign others this role.

To sum up, you need to ask your tenant Global administrator to assign you Systems Administrator role in default environment.

If you do not know who is  Global administrator, please contact the person who purchased  Microsoft business subscription, he must be a Global administrator.

Here are docs about this for your reference:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environments-overview

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environments-administration

    Best regards,
