Dataverse Tables

Can anyone please advise how I should import data tables that are already populated with many records into dataverse whilst maintaining the one to many relationships? (This tables have been exported from Access into Excel)

I have tried creating lookups and relationships after importing the tables (as Custom tables) but I am unable to achieve the results needed.

I need to be able to have a screen in a Canvas app that has an edit Form and Vertical Gallery with tblTools as data source but with column Machine from tblMachine and ToolType from tblToolType (This is the current setup in Access)

Please see attached Table structure diagram

Any advice appreciated

Create alternate keys for the tblMachine and tblToolType tables on the MachineFK and ToolTypeFK columns respectively, and then try importing the data again.

Ok, so do you suggest I create tblTools, tblMachine and tblToolTypes tables in dataverse with no data then set the alternate keys as you described then export to excel to populate with data and then import?

    Thanks

Yes, create the tables in dataverse first with no data, create the alternate keys, and create the lookup columns (this will create the relationships). Import data into tblMachine and tblToolTypes first, then import data into tblTools.

Okay I have just done that but the look up columns in tblToolTypes and tblMachine are both empty?

I am also not sure on what syntax to use in the canvas app.  I have created a vertical gallery with tblTools as the data source but not sure what syntax to use to display column Machine and Tool Type in text labels?
