So, i was creating an "Approval forms app" and start following this video How to create Approval Forms in Power Apps - YouTube. I was able to follow step by step, but when i send a new forms, the approval step doesnt show up, jut the view mode, instead of edit mode. Same for the email process; when I clicked on the "Take Action" from an approver email, it open as "View Form" instead of "edit form".

    Good afternoon!
I think you have to change the mode of the form, the FormMode property

If I have helped you give me a like or mark the answer as accepted

@Anonymous Did you use a "Display Form" or an "Edit Form" Control?

    Hi nickallan!

Can you explain where this is happening? Is this a form in a Canvas App, a form on an adaptive card or elsewhere?

Might be worth while sharing a timestamp in the video where you're stuck, as it's about 30 minutes long and may get you the help you need quicker 🙂

@Anonymous in the case of an edit form, you'll need to check what FormMode property on the Edit Form is set to. If you're deep linking into the application you need to verify how the value for FormMode is being configured, I imagine via a Variable is the most appropriate method for this implementation.

@Anonymous how is varFormMode being set? Is this done at App OnStart/Screen OnVisible? In your screenshot it's showing the value is currently blank.

Thanks @Anonymous, it looks as though the variable's state is dependent on the ID parameter not being blank. Have you validated the parameter is being passed into the app correctly?

@sgtsnacks64 i think the formulas and vars on canvas apps is ok, i checked twice. Problem is probably on P Automate, but i cant figure out
