Hello,
is there a way to remove the text "Create your own at aka.ms/pvaforteams" from a bot description when creating the bot through PowerVA and selecting Teams channel?
I'm not able to see the mentioned text in the description at all and it's confusing for this specific bot to have that.
Thank you!
Alessandro
Hi @AlessandroLanna,
As far as I am aware that is coming from the long description field, which you should be able to edit.
Within the Microsoft Teams Channel in the Bot go to Edit details.
There should be a long description in that side panel.
Hi @Expiscornovus
Thanks for you reply! I did indeed change the description:
But then I see it again in the bot description in Teams, even if it's not supposed to be there - seems like it's been appended to the description:
Thanks!Alessandro
Did you republish it in PVA as a new version and also approved it again in Teams admin centre?
When you click the Open Bot link after publishing, do you see the new long description?
Below is an example of an updated long description.
Following your suggestion, I tried to change the description (added "- TEST" at the end of the line)
But I still see the link at the end of the updated description in Teams:
Is there any option / setting I can check for this statement maybe to be appended in the description?
Thanks for your valuable support!
When you update and publish it again it should have a new version. You might want to check the version of your Bot app in the about.
Secondly, Microsoft Teams caches information so it could take a while before users see the changes. Users can refresh the browser or sign in and out of the Microsoft Teams desktop client to reflect changes immediately.
Most of the publishing steps are also listed in this article. So, you might want to double check those?

Hi @Expiscornovus ,
Thank you again for your prompt response.
I've tried to review the entire process and to dig a little bit more in this.
Looking at the bot manifest, the description is fine:
but then in Teams it's shown with the additional phrase.
What I just noticed is that all of our powerVA chatbots have the same behavior, so I think this could be something wider that needs to be checked? Maybe could be related to the environment where the VA is deployed (it is the default one)
